Let me tell you the story of my Whole 30 PROGRAM RESULTS.
In January of 2019, I had decided I was ready to make a few changes.
I realized that despite my best efforts, my 2nd pregnancy had really taken a toll on my body. I was TIRED. I felt like my eating habits were mostly reactive, as I was trying to keep up with a 4 y/o and a 1 1/2 year old. I was making sure to feed them, but not always taking the time for my own healthy meal.
I was also struggling with terrible plantar fascitis which was totally blowing up my normal exercise routine! I was a high- impact group class kind of girl. However, each time I put my feet on the floor in the morning I had terrible pain. So, to the yoga mat I went, begrudgingly.
p.s. turns out I LOVED PIYO and ended up having great workouts with it, so win-win!
This time in my life is when I decided to try the Whole 30 diet.
It was tough the first time I did it. I planned it really carefully and stuck to it really religiously. I even brought my own sweet potato to a dinner at my husband’s work party because I knew they were serving items I wasn’t going to eat.
In that moment, I cared more about the intention I had towards myself and my body than I cared about being judged for doing something “out of the ordinary”. In other words… sometimes you just have to “do you”.
So, what did I find?
I found that after day 14/15 I felt AMAZING. I popped out of bed in the morning ready to take on the day like a ninja. It was awesome!
I had less pain, I had more energy. I had great digestion.
I also felt very CALM.
This one was unexpected. I wasn’t an overly anxious person, but it’s something that was a noticeable change for me. You know what I realized it came back right away as well, when added sugar started creeping back into my diet. THIS was an eye opening realization!
Once you realize how something makes you feel in such a terrible way, you generally tend to avoid that thing…unless you’re crazy…you know the definition of crazy. (Doing the same thing and expecting a different result)
